Puppy Classes are ongoing and we do add extra courses to accommodate demand, so please book on early when planning ahead or enquire about any extra courses.

Ringwood Dogs offers two different Courses for puppies and young dogs. The Puppy Manners Course for puppies under 20 weeks of age and the Teenage Loony Course for puppies over the age of 20 weeks of age. The courses are a great way for puppies to meet other puppies and people and to learn the correct way to behave and concentrate in their presence in a group environment. Courses are taught using “Positive Reinforcement” techniques, which means no force or punishment will be used to train your puppy and young dog. Only kind, fair and effective techniques are used, making the classes fun and stimulating for both puppies and owners, thereby building a strong bond for the future. See below an outline of the courses.
The Puppy Manners Course
The Ringwood Dogs Puppy Manners Course prides itself on being one of the best puppy courses in the area. Classes are taught by fully qualified and accredited dog trainer Isabelle Pape IMDT, ISAP with a friendly assistant. For more information about me and the services I have to offer, please visit my “Your Dog Trainer” page or email me via the Contact Me page.
The Puppy Manners Course is for puppies under the age of 22 weeks old and is designed to teach owners how to sculpt the ultimate family dog by improving their puppy’s obedience and ensuring their puppies become well-mannered and well-balanced pets. We shall work towards teaching your puppies the “eight essential commands” needed to become a well behaved member of the family including – Focus, Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Leave It, Drop It and Heel (walking nicely on leash).
All sessions include detailed homework sheets so that you can practice at home with your puppy after the class, including a comprehensive Puppy Manual and a welcome Puppy Enrichment Bag . Puppy training is a family event, so we encourage you to bring partners and children along to the class so that everyone can learn together. Courses start every 3 weeks and we recommend you book your puppy onto the course as soon as you know the 2nd vaccination date to avoid disappointment.
The Teenage Loony Course

The Ringwood Dogs Teenage Loony Course (affectionately renamed as the Lockdown Loonies Course during Covid) prides itself on being one of the best teenage dog courses in the area. It runs for six weeks and caters towards young dogs of all breeds and sizes over the age of 22 weeks old at the start of the course. They are ideal for teenage dogs who have missed out on group puppy classes or for newcomers to training who now want to start their journey into the world of obedience! Each six week course covers the essential “eight essential commands” needed to become a well mannered member of the family, lowering or increasing the level of difficulty dependant upon your dog’s ability. The course covers Focus, Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Leave It, Drop It and Heel (walking nicely on leash.
All sessions include detailed homework sheets so that you can practice at home with your dog after the class, including a comprehensive Teenage Loony Manual and a welcome Enrichment Bag. Dog training is a family event, so we encourage you to bring partners and children along to the class so that everyone can learn together. So if you have a teenage loony in your house, you need the Teenage Loony Course! Dogs must be fully vaccinated, well socialised and comfortable with other dogs and people.
