When I visit owners for a training consult – they often want a quick fix and instant results. They want instant results for loose leash walking, instant results for a superb recall, a quick fix for no jumping, a quick fix for barking and are often disappointed when they learn there isn’t such a thing.
The truth is, there is no quick fix for a well behaved dog because it takes time and patience to train a dog. Well trained dogs “don’t just happen”. So it’s important to strive for progress, not perfection when training your dogs.
Perfection may or may not happen but being a good owner is accepting your dog will come with some limitations and the “perfect dog” may be as perfect as it can get with your dog’s particular limitations.
I look forward to meeting you and working with your dogs.
