It can be very frustrating when your dog just won’t eat but there are things you can do to encourage your fussy eater.
Firstly, make sure there are no underlying health issues that are preventing your dog from eating so be sure you get a vet check to make sure all is ok.
Fussy dogs do much better on structured meal times, so putting your dog’s meal down and waiting for a period of time to allow them to eat then taking any uneaten food away until the next mealtime will work best.
If food is left down all day, it can lose its value to your dog. A healthy dog is unlikely to starve to death in front of a full bowl of food and at some point he or she will likely eat on this schedule.
