This season has been particularly bad for fleas and ticks, particularly in forest areas. There are many different options out there to protect your dog and indeed yourself from ticks.
A few options are topical medicines, tick collars and oral medication to protect your dog from fleas and ticks. All these need reapplying every 8 to 12 weeks depending on the manufacturer’s instructions. Please see your veterinarian for advice.
So next time you go for a walk in the forest, make sure your furry friend is well protected from fleas and ticks – speak to your vet to get the best flea and tick protection for your dog’s individual needs.
Happy Walking!
